Mohd Bashir Shariff
(Managing
Director)
Bashir has headed
the practice from inception after leaving a Malaysian Merchant Bank as Head
of Corporate Finance. Prior to 1992, he worked with large ASEAN
conglomerates in a career spanning some 20 years, holding senior positions
in the following companies: Slater Walker/Haw Par, Sime Darby and Anglo
American Corporation.
Bashir
received a Masters degree in Marketing & Finance from the University of
Lancaster, England in 1972. He is a regular speaker and Chairman at
conferences on Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Finance, Media, and IPO's
in Malaysia and the region.

Amir graduate from the University of Macquarie Sydney, in 2005, with a

and worked with Securities International Ltd. ( Sydney )
in various capacities, before returning to Kuala Lumpur in July 2009.

Amman Singh (Associate
Consultant for the Insurance Industry)
Amman has had
vast experience working with local and foreign insurance companies in
Malaysia. He started as a Trainee in 1969 and over the years Amman has
contributed to the growth and development of three insurance companies. Last
position held was as Senior Vice President, MBF Insurance Bhd.
Amman was Chairman of General Insurance Association of Malaysia in 1976,
and Chairman of National Insurance of Malaysia from 1988 to 1993 and Director
of Malaysian Re from 1985 to 1994.

Balachandran Venkataraman CFA (Director
India)
Balachandran is a senior corporate finance manager and investment
professional with over 27 years’ experience - having been associated with
transactions involving start-up projects, private companies and listed
entities in the Middle East and North Africa region and in India.
Balachandran has been associated with Palladium for some 10 years, working
jointly on various projects in conjunction with his past employers and
clients.
From 2009, he has taken on the role as Director of Palladiums business
opportunities in India, and recently successfully raised working capital for
Palladium’s Malaysian client Scomi Engineering, undertaking the Mumbai
Monorail project.
He is currently a key member of the Shriram Auto Finance Group, driving some
of their renewable energy projects. He is also a Director of Pinaka
Infomatics, which specializes in rural IT solutions particularly for rural
cooperative banks and agricultural marketing organizations.
Earlier, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Paterson Consulting Group,
the investment banking arm of the Hinduja-Paterson Group based in a Chennai,
India.
Prior to this, he was Senior Corporate Finance Manager at Al Mal
Investments, Kuwait – where he was managing a significant proprietary direct
investments portfolio, and driving investments in greenfield and brownfield
projects primarily in Kuwait and Tunisia. He was Project Manager at Gulf
Investment Services, Muscat - worked on setting up First Mazoon Fund
(Muscat) and First India Fund (Mauritius).
Earlier, in India, he was Vice President (Finance) with the TTG Group, that
manufactured wind mills, pollution control equipment and rubber wood
furniture – involved in syndicating debt and equity for their projects. He
also had his entrepreneurial venture - Founder-Director of Hi-Tech Ingrafts,
a start up company manufacturing industrial flooring materials using polymer
composites.
Balachandran is a CFA Charter holder - Member of CFA Institute, USA and CFA
Emirates, UAE; a Cost Accountant and Company Secretary. He is also a
Governing Council Member for the PGDBA program conducted by the Indo-German
Chamber of Commerce.

Chris Quinn
(U.S.A Director / Advisor)
Christopher E. V. Quinn
works as an advisor to family offices on investments and to a number of
investment management companies on investment strategies, marketing and risk
management. Mr. Quinn was the chief family office executive for a
multi-national family office where he helped manage a range of activities
including all private company investments, investment allocation, manager
search and selection, philanthropy, family governance, risk management, and
planning.
Prior to joining the
family office, Mr. Quinn was a managing director of ARCH Development
Partners, a venture capital fund spun out of the University of Chicago. At
ARCH Mr. Quinn focused on building management teams and structuring
investments around university based research at the University of Chicago,
the University of Illinois, the University of Michigan, Northwestern
University, Purdue University and others.
Chris has served on the
board of directors of a number of companies including Accelchip (chip
design, sold to Xilinx), Adeptia (systems integration) and Mobitrac (fleet
management, sold to Fluensee).
Mr. Quinn is an attorney
and prior to ARCH, practiced with a large multi-national law firm in
Chicago. He has lectured on venture investing with the University of
Chicago, Graduate School of Business and has served as a judge for a number
of business plan competitions at Washington University School of Business,
the University of Chicago and Purdue University. Mr. Quinn was also active
with Washington University's entrepreneur programs at the Skandalaris
Center.
Mr. Quinn graduated from Washington University with a B.S. in 1991 (cum
laude) and a J.D. in 1994 (Law Journal).

Kumar Narayanaswami

Besides degrees in Economics [1973] and International Business [1981]
from reputed schools, Kumar has rich experience in various other fields,
traditional and less-orthodox. Kumar’s strengths are political and
economic analysis, a result of over thirty years practise.
Fifty-four years old, Kumar has lived in Madras from 1983. The years
